I imagine that when Jesus is here the second time and we have been resurrected, we will not only recognize one another, even in our new physical states, but we will regard one another with the strictest nonchalance. “Oh look, it’s Abraham. Or is that Moses?” and move on. (The strictest nonchalance, mind you, in love. With God’s glory shining on all sides. How does that look? Tell me please.)

17And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins. 18Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied.
