It’s warm when you wake up, but cold hardwood floors greet your feet. It’s a struggle to start the car, and another to actually drive it. Cold is the prevailing thought in your head, and you can think of nothing else.

Until you actually get to work and realize, there’s nothing for you to do, so you wait and wait and wait.

(In the morning, you are happy, but that is because of outside circumstances, and not work, definitely not work.)

Just one of those days. You wait the whole day, each second an excruciating eternity, plenty of time for you to think and wonder, why am I here?

But thank God for the people he’s put in your life. Thank God that work is not who you are.
