It’s in our nature. Within two, three seconds, we have decided whether or not something is worth our attention, whether or not we like or dislike something, whether we press the little x in the right hand corner. It’s kind of scary, but also kind of sad. Too much to choose from, too much stimulation, too much freedom. As if we know what is best for ourselves. (As if we can choose whether we live or die.)

[And yet, as hard as we are on ourselves, we are also quite forgiving (because if we weren’t, then we wouldn’t like to sin so much).]
